Types of Application Software
Application software is classified into two main types, which are:
- User application program
- Application packages
(i) User Application Program: These are user-written software tailored to meet the user’s specific needs. This includes spread sheet templates, word processor macros, scientific simulations, graphics, and animation scripts. They are different from other software (Application packages) that are readily available. Users create this software themselves and often overlook how important it is.
