ENIAC (Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer) was the first programmable, electronic, general-purpose digital computer and it was developed by John Mauchly and John Presper Eckert.
EDVAC (Electronic Discrete Variable Automatic Computer) was one of the earliest electronic computers. It was binary rather than decimal, and was a designed to be a stored-program computer. It was developed by John MauchlyandJohn Presper Eckert in 1947.
The UNIVAC I (Universal Variable Automatic Computer I) was the second commercial computer produced in the United States. It was designed principally by John Presper Eckert and John Mauchly, the inventors of the ENIAC.
A desktop or personal computer is a micro-computer designed to fit on a desk hence the name desktop. It comprises of the system unit, monitor, keyboard, mouse and other peripherals.
