LANGUAGE TRANSLATORS
Language translators are software that convert programs written in English-form (source code) to computer readable form (object code that computer understands). Since computer language is in binary form i.e. 0’s and 1’s, programs written in English were hard to read and translate by computer. Computer language was developed to address this problem. Computer can only run programs written in machine language, hence, the need to translate programs written in English to machine language. Language processor can also be called programming language processor.
