BASIC STATEMENTS
Statements in BASIC are reserved words or constructs that denote particular operators. Every programming language has its peculiar statement and syntax for specific tasks. BASIC statement can also be defined as BASIC instruction given to the computer.
The BASIC statements include: LET, INPUT, READ, DATA, REM, PRINT, GOTO, END/STOP, CLS, FOR – NEXT etc.
- LET statement: This is an assignment statement used to assign numerical values (numbers and formulas) to a variable e.g.
10 LET X = 25.7
20 LET Y = L * W * H
30 LET A = “AREA”
