INTRODUCTION
The type of application software installed on a computer determines what the user can accomplish with it. Application software have various uses such as word processing, accounting, database management, graphic design, etc., and the user needs to familiarize him/herself with them in order to carry out his / her daily assignments.
DEFINITION OF APPLICATION SOFTWARE
Application software or app for short is any program or number of programs designed for end-users. In that sense, any end user program can be called an ‘application’. Hence the age-old saying: “there’s an app for that”. Effectively, if the user is interacting directly with a piece of software it is application software.
Application software are programs designed to solve problems of specific nature. They are also defined as suites of programs with associated documentation, used for solving general and everyday problems.
