BASIC is an acronym for Beginners All-purpose Symbolic Instruction Code.
BASIC programming is a simple general-purpose, high level programming language which is used to design computer programs.
Versions of BASIC includeBASICA (BASIC ADVANCE), GWBASIC (Graphics and Windows BASIC), Torbo-BASIC XL (advanced version of BASIC), Quick BASIC, Visual BASIC and Apple Soft BASIC
BASIC character set are character sets that can be combined to form BASIC statements and expressions include the Numeric digits, Alphabets and Special characters
The two types of quantities in BASIC are Constant and Variable
