Summary of Word Processing
Word processing is the process of creating or editing a document using a word processor, such as Microsoft Word, Google Docs etc.
A word processor is an application package used to carry out word processing. It is a software package that enables a computer user to create, edit, print, and save documents for future retrieval and reference.
Examples of Word Processors include: Microsoft Word, Word Pad, Word Star, Word Perfect, Note Pad, PageMaker, Google Docs, LibreOffice Writer, Easy Word, Microsoft Works and WPS.
Although these word processors are created and sold by different companies, they possess many similar features. The features of Microsoft word which include the title bar, menu bar, ribbon etc. have been fully discussed in this chapter.
This chapter also treated how to use a word processor (Microsoft word) to create, edit, format, save, retrieve, print and close a document.
