Summary of ICT as a Transformational Tool
ICT is an acronym for information and communication technology. The plural form is information and communication technologies (ICTs). They are a diverse set of technological tools and resources used to create, process, store, retrieve, communicate, and manage information.
ICT refers to the technology that helps in the transfer of information.
The benefits of ICT which are too numerous include availability of information 24 hours a day through access to the internet, computers and other digital devices as well as making it easier and quicker for daily transactions to be carried out even from the comfort of one’s home.
The disadvantages of ICT include loss of job, cybercrimes, exposing young children to indecent material like pornography among others.
