Summary of Computer Problem-Solving Skills

A computer program is a set of instructions given to the computer to perform an operation or solve a problem.

A programming language is a set of words, symbols and codes that enables a programmer to communicate instructions to a computer.

The three levels of programming languages are Machine language, Assembly language and High-level language.

Steps to computer programming which include Problem analysis, Algorithm design / Pseudo code, Flowchart, Coding, Debugging, Testing, Final output and Documentation.

Flowcharting is a process of using pictorial illustration to solve a problem

A flowchart is a type of diagram that represents a process, showing the steps as symbols of various kinds, and their order by connecting them with arrows.

An oval shape symbol is used to represent the Start or End of a flowchart.
