Summary of Woodwork Project
Woodwork machines are specially designed machines used for wood operations in furniture work. There are two basic classes of wood working machines in use, which are: Hand-held power tools and Stationary machines.
Hand-held power tools are tools are moved over the materials that are being worked on. They include Hand drills, Belt sander, Hand-held circular saw, Saber Saw, Nail gun, Biscuit joiner, Chain saw, Jig saw, Rotary tool, Miter saw etc.
Stationary machines are usually mounted in engineering (woodwork) workshops, since they are not portable in nature. They include: Circular sawing machine, Band sawing machine, Thicknessing machine, Surface planer, Drill press, Wood lathe, Combination machine, Double side planer, Spindle moulder (Wood shaper), Bench grinder, Radial arm saw, Mortiser, Tenoner (Tenoning machine) etc.
