Clay, ceramics, and glass are non-metallic materials, which are used to mould different objects and shapes, that are needed for domestic and commercial purposes.
Methods of processing clay include: excavation of clay, moulding of clay, firing and decoration.
Ceramics are non-metallic solids made from clay, mud or cement. They are all products made from baked clay and are mostly mixtures of clay with other materials.
Steps involved in processing glass are, preparation/crushing and mixing, heating, forming, annealing and polishing.
The two main classes of glass are transparent glass and translucent or coloured glass.
The different types of glasses include Pyrex glass, safety glass, plate glass, reinforced glass, fibre glass and bottle glass.
The two methods of making glass are the float glass method and the glass blowing method.
