Woodwork Joints

In woodwork, pieces of wood are joined to form the completed object. Joinery is a part of woodworking that involves joining pieces of wood or lumber, to produce more complex items. Some wood joints employ fasteners, bindings, or adhesives, while others use only wood elements.

Classes of Wood Joints

Wood joints are grouped into three classes, namely:

1.         Box Joints:  These are the classes of wood joints that form angle of 90o. They include butt, miter and dovetail joints.
